These gorgeous Christmas animal coasters and placemats make a fantastic addition to any dining table during the festive season. The intricate, original engravings are made onto Cherry Wood which is triple sealed with a durable varnish. I design, make and hand finish this one-of-a-kind Christmas tableware with care and love.

I use a laser to engrave and cut my original fest animal drawing onto wood. This gives a highly detailed, intricate finish that wonderfully captures the character and charm of each of my illustrations.

Once engraved I clean, condition, and sand the wood by hand.

I use premium quality Cherry wood which has a central, wood composite core. This wood is more sustainable to produce than its solid wood counterparts, making it ideal for the eco-conscious.

It also provides a smooth and stable surface that engraves beautifully and looks wonderful.

I apply 3 layers of extra tough, gloss varnish to the top face of each coaster and placemat. This protects the wood and leaves it with a practical, wipeable surface ready for use.

The varnish also enhances the colour of the wood, bringing out the beautiful tones of the cherry and its lovely grain. This shows it off in all its splendour and allows it to make as much of a visual impact as the charming engravings do.

The animals included are woodland themed. They are a badger, a hare, a fox and a hedgehog. I have drawn each animal with a festive hat that wonderfully captures the winter season. The fox and the hedgehog both wear decorated woolly bobble hats. The badger and the hare both wear Santa style hats.

I include a luxury, white laminated box with your placemat set. This makes it ready for gifting and also provides a place for them to be stored so that they can be enjoyed year after year.

I take a lot of care with all my designs and products and am proud to give these lovely designs a beautiful yet functional form for your home during the festive season. They make lovely gifts but it’s hard to resist keeping them for yourself.
