To make these thoughtful pieces, I create engravable artwork from your photos using a combination of digital hand drawing and careful computer processing. I digitally draw on your photos to remove the background and highlight important details. My conscientious, hands-on approach allows me to achieve better results than possible with just digital processing alone.

I make the coasters from premium quality maple wood veneer with a strong, central wood composite core. The maple wood face engraves beautifully and with good contrast, whilst also providing an attractive backdrop for your engraving.

Once engraved I clean and condition the wood and sand it by hand. I then apply 3 coats of extra tough varnish to the top face of the coaster. Not only does this protect and seal the wood, it also enhances the gorgeous maple grain background and enhances the final finish even further.

The coasters come as a set of 4 in a wooden holder. This holder is also made and designed by me so it fits your coaster set perfectly. You can make your set with 1, 2 or 4 different photos. This will give you a set of 4 matching coasters, 2 matching pairs or 4 individual designs respectively.
