Set of 4 gorgeous coasters in a holder with a unique, honeycomb hive design and hand painted honey bee accents.

This striking design pays homage to bees in a wonderful way.

The design is my own I make and finish them in their entirety using Poplar faced Eucalyptus. This wood is from fully certified, sustainable sources and therefor ideal for the eco-conscious.

I engrave and cut each coaster before finishing them by hand.

After cleaning, conditioning, and sanding the wood I apply an aged wood stain to the background. This enhances the beautiful wood grain, leaving it with a lovely colour that brilliantly frames the filled honeycomb hexagons.

I add metallic gold paint to the body of the bees and metallic silver to their wings. These colours have a lovely sheen to them that catches the light beautifully.

I seal each coaster with 3 layers of extra tough varnish. This protects the paint and the stain and provides a wipeable, practical finish.

The honeycomb pattern has been carefully crafted so that, when stacked in any order, they form a stunning hive design where each bee is visible through the layers. This gives an enchanting effect and elevates the set to something truly special.
